The gameplay was amazing, the plot was handled beautifully, and the ending...
totally did not see that coming! Definitely deserving of a 10/10 and 5/5!

I've just got two constructive pieces of advice for you....

One-Please create a spiritual sequel to this game. Obviously, the ending makes this one time only, but the gameplay mechanics are too unique to leave in this one game. So, please, consider making a different game with the same gameplay.

And, two-If you do make a sequel, consider making a game editor with said gameplay mechanics. You have a lot of followers with this game already, so it only makes sense to please your fans and allow them a chance to create their own puzzles as intricate as yours.

I'd also mention adding medals, but as you already uploaded the game, such a possibility is too little, too late, I assume. Oh well..hopefully next time.

Plot, characters, setting, score, style...all of it was above par!
This deserves a 10/10, 5/5, and front page all the way!

Just consider adding medals in a future animation via easter eggs to enhance the experience. If its possible with the Street Fighter Collab, why not this?

Sword of Laguna: Prologue

"This game's good PRACTICE, and it can be more"

My breakdown follows...

The graphics are obviously amateur, but its your style, and its unique. I like it; if you practice drawing so that it goes from looking cartoony to having lines to adding detail, the story will look better.

The speed is at a good pace...you go from one point to another swftly, with the only drag the battle field where you have to get at least four or five healing potions before you can beat the boss. Otherwise, its at a good pace.

Brood of evil is right...the story starts out cliche, but this is just the prologue, meaning you have future chapters to really make it interesting with a plot twist here or there. Like, what happened to the grandma, why did the father have the sword, and so on. That's ONLY if you choose to continue the story...your choice.

The music's cool-neither good, nor bad, just cool. You may want to look at other RPG's to see how music can impact the mood, though, and surprise players with a random music choice unexepcted, like using folk guitar for the first half and then switching to jazz or ambience for the second half, showing variety on your part.

Finally, the gameplay needs to be developed to include more options in battle such as defense and run and sword techs and such. And you might want to add a status screen to allow healing of your character between battles.

Now, to really make people return to your games, you need to be able to level up to earn points and items, customize your character as you wish with said points and items so you could either be physical as a knight or magical as a mage or speedy as a thief or something else I'm not mentioning here, and then be able to save your data at the end of the chapter so your character data is available at the start of the next one. Most importantly, this must be your story, and no one elses...that is what makes it unique, and will make others return to want more.

As you are starting out. though, I'd recommend setting the next three or four chapters in the city so you can practice code and add the elements mentioned above one chapter at a time. Start with adding an experience system first, then vary the options available in battle mode, sim mode, and map mode, and finally add a save system so your can transfer from one to another and have motivation to return to your story. After that, move into more advanced stuff like different character classes and multiple characters programmed to move your way....but only when you know you can do it without any problems.

Finally, look into how game engines are built...that's usually the hard part in creating an RPG. Once you make one of your own, then you can use that engine to create mutiple chapters with little difficulty except real life and homework and dating and friends and jobs and such.

That's right, the graphics were made in such a hurry so that it lacks of perspective and poor of details.

About the story I almost forgot about the grandma and the guard xD. I'll put it up next.

I'll put up the gameplay feedbacks for the game features idea to be considered, but character status, items, npc interaction are most likely to be implemented.

Yes, I'll be creating the game engine first. However, I have to look up some examples since I used to create one in C++ language yet in Flash has a different game loop model xD.

You need to program the stars so they do not appear near you when you are grabbing an apple, resulting in an instant kill for playing the game. Otherwise, it's a good timewaster; just fix what he said below.
